| Electric blanket repair |
[Jun. 1st, 2012|08:52 pm] |
Greetings, maniacs. Our electric blanket was quite expensive when we bought it 5 years ago, so I'd rather try to get it repaired before I look at buying a new one. Does anyone know of a place that does repair them, with bonus points if it's on the north side of the city.
(Of course, if it's going to cost too much, I'll be replacing it) |

| bush-bashing holiday locations? |
[Jun. 1st, 2012|09:57 am] |
Myself and a group of friends are planning a group winter getaway - we were thinking cabin in the bush somewhere in Victoria. Has anyone done anything like this and can suggest any areas/accommodation? Preferably within 4 hours driving distance of Melbourne and in an affordable price range? When I google it I get a lot of luxury cabins and locations I'm not familiar with and can't vouch for, so any suggestions would be appreciated. |

My mother's coming to Melbourne in a month's time, and I want to show her around of this place that I've been in for only about 3 months added together but want to grow up to become to! So, the true Melbourne people, what are the good attractions? Good food? Good places to just wander around? Thank you! |

| Parking near 649 Bridge Road? |
[May. 31st, 2012|03:44 pm] |
Hey all,
I'll be at a seminar next week and just found out it's not in the CBD as I expected but at 649 Bridge Rd.
Any suggestions for free or low-cost parking near there? I don't know the area at all well.
The seminar will be from Wednesday to Sunday.
Thanks in advance! |

| Please vote to help me get to Kenya.. |
[May. 28th, 2012|06:43 pm] |
*edit: Thanks so much to all you lovely people who have voted. They've changed the order of the pics now so the easiest way to vote is to follow the link http://www.thevoice.com.au/kickstart/vote/?messageid=175698632 and select my name "Ke Chow" in the drop down menu! Thanks guys - this cat vet would really love to get to Kenya and help the lions!
Greetings Melbourne Maniacs,
I'm really sorry if this seems like spam, but I need your help! You could win a prize, too.
I'm on a shortlist of 48 people in a competition to win a 2 week trip to Kenya doing volunteer work with the Masai (helping both villagers and the local wildlife). To win, I need the most votes (which is pretty unlikely, but I figure it's worth a shot)!
All you'd need to do is go to the following link: 1. http://www.thevoice.com.au/kickstart/finalists/?v=2 2. Click on my picture (5th row down, 2nd from the left - the name is 'Ke Chow'). 3. It will require you to fill out a wee form with your details (it only takes a minute). You can opt out of being contacted by the promotors, too.
You could win flights to *shudder* Sydney (but you'd also get free accommodation in a fancy hotel, and all the transfers)!
I'd be so grateful if any of you voted, and also if you spread the word to anyone who may want to win a free trip to *shudder* Sydney.
Thank you!!! |
